EPS Sandwich Panel

Sandwich panels are typically single piece, modular factory engineered units comprising two metal faces an a fully insulating core. The metal facings are fully bonded to the core so that the panel acts compositely when under load, in most cases, providing free standing panels. Facings used for insulated panels are predominantly of steel. The key to optimum performance of SP insulated panels lie in their correct installation depending on the application. This of course varies in each particular case. EPS is manufactured by combining styrene with isobutylene under pressure. When manufacturing EPS products, tiny beads of polystyrene are expanded and consolidated in the process of steam heating and pressure treatment. When heated, the expanding agent enlarges the beads as much as 40 times, after which they are fused by pressure into huge blocks of EPS. These block are cured then cut and shaped to produce a variety of EPS products, bringing lots of benefits to the construction and packing industries.
